An awaited return for Fabergé to Vicenzaoro September 2021 which, for the occasion, will present an incredible creation, as a tribute to the founder Peter Carl Fabergé.
For the 100th anniversary since the his death, the maison has in fact created an extraordinary egg, destined to become a collector’s item: handcrafted in 18kt gold, weighs 10kg and features grooves obtained with the same technique that characterizes the first works of art of the founder.
The Centenary Egg takes inspiration from the first Imperial Egg created in 1885 and the third created in 1887. A strong link with the past, very evident from the stylistic technique used, skilfully interpreted by the craftsmanship in the use of colored stones from Gemfields.
The rubies come from Mozambique while the emeralds are from Zambia and add a touch of modernity to this precious object, as well as being all traced and extracted in African mines, according to Gemfields responsible sourcing codes.
