The biggest jewelry show in North America was postponed last month by organizers Reed Jewelry Group in response to the coronavirus crisis.
They have now confirmed that it will not take place at all this year, nor will sister event Luxury 2020.
JCK Las Vegas attracts over 30,000 of the world’s most influential industry professionals and was scheduled to take place from 2 to 5 June at the Sands Expo & Convention Center and Venetian Hotel.
The show and Luxury will now take place in June 2021. Meanwhile, JCK will join forces with its sister show, the Jewelers International Show, from 13 to 16 October at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Florida. It is also planning a virtual event this summer.
“This decision (to cancel) was made in response to the unprecedented challenges faced by JCK’s jewelry community,” said Sarin Bachmann, group vice president of JCK and Luxury.
“We know this decision impacts the entire industry, and it was not made lightly. The show has always been more than just a show floor, it’s a platform that brings our entire industry together and reflects its exceptional strength, creativity, and diversity.”
